Connecting to a device with Remotiva takes a few minutes. Follow the steps below.

1. Install the desktop app

To control a computer remotely, the Remotiva desktop app must be installed on the computer you want to control. Without the desktop app, the computer cannot accept connections.

Download Remotiva — the desktop app is available for macOS, Windows and Linux. If you will connect from your phone, install the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.

2. Sign in or continue as a guest

Open the app and sign in with your account. If you do not have an account, you can use it as a guest with limited features; signing in is recommended for persistent pairing and higher limits.

3. Pair your devices

There are two ways to pair devices:

• QR code / pairing code: Enter the code shown on one device into the other, or scan the QR code.
• Local network (LAN): Devices on the same Wi-Fi/network are listed automatically.

4. Connect and control

Tap one of your paired devices to start the connection. You can see the screen and control it remotely with mouse and keyboard. When possible, the connection is established directly between devices (peer-to-peer).
